Your voyage begins in Athens, the cradle of European civilization and the birthplace of democracy. After exploring iconic landmarks, unwind during a day and night at sea, enjoy Broadway-calibre entertainment, or simply relax with a nightcap in the lounge. Arrive in Alexandria for an overnight stay in the metropolis founded by Alexander the Great. You’ll have plenty of time to explore ancient architecture, like the Roman Theater, or travel beyond the city to Cairo and visit the Giza Pyramids. Enjoy lunch on a traditional felucca boat while sailing the Nile and visit the new Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world. Cruise overnight through the Suez Canal before arriving in Safaga. From here, visit nearby Luxor, known as the “world’s greatest open air museum”. An overnight stay gives you plenty of time to peruse the temples and tombs of the city known as the gateway to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Next up is Aqaba. During a late-night stay, explore the ancient city of Petra, where magnificent carvings in red sandstone cliffs have earned it the nickname the “Rose City”. Your next late night is in Eilat. From here, visit a number of the most sacred sites in the Holy Land with visits to Jerusalem or Bethlehem. See the heights of archaeological wonder at Masada and the depths of the lowest place on earth at the Dead Sea.
Your next port to discover is Muscat. Here, be delighted by bustling, colorful souks and breathtaking views from the base of Mutrah Fort. Don’t miss the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, which features a Swarovski crystal chandelier boasting more than 600,000 crystals and a hand-woven prayer rug with an astonishing 1.7 billion knots.
Finally, your voyage concludes with an overnight stay in Dubai, the glittering City of Gold where everything is just a bit bigger and bolder: the world’s fastest rollercoaster, the world’s highest infinity pool, and the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, are all located here.
