PETS

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel is happy to welcome your furry friends. When reserving your stay, please inquire about the dog-friendly rooms featuring ocean views and walk-out access to their gardens.

Your first pet is an additional $40 per night, and your second pet is $20 per night. The maximum weight of dogs allowed is 75lbs, with a maximum of two dogs per room

Service dogs are also welcome, however the hotel does require formal written confirmation pre-arrival to ensure the dog and owner are certified and comply with the Guide and Service Dog Act of British Columbia. Prior to your stay you will need to sign their Dog Owner Policy Agreement

BUTCHART GARDENS

The Butchart Gardens, located just a half hour away from the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, offer visitors an expansive, year-round garden experience. Almost a million people visit annually to take in the colours of the seasons, Saturday fireworks in the summer and the Magic of Christmas event. Open daily, the property houses themed spaces such as the Rose Garden, Sunken Garden and Japanese Garden, along with two restaurants and a coffee shop.

WHALE WATCHING

With three pods of Southern Resident Killer Whales along with many Humpback Whales, guided whale watching tours are a popular adventure option. Excursions and transportation can be arranged through our Concierge at your convenience with options for the whole family available.

OAK BAY BEACHES

Enjoy beachcombing or relaxing in the sun at any one of the many beaches and bays within a short drive from the hotel. Willows Beach (located 3min away by car) is one of Victoria’s most popular swimming beaches with shallow, protected water suitable for young children or anyone wanting to catch some rays.

CYCLING

Located on a magnificent stretch of coastline, the Oak Bay Beach Hotel is ideally situated along one of the most scenic bike routes on Vancouver Island. Whether planning for a leisurely ride to local sites and attractions or a more aggressive pace and route, your options are endless.

CHARTER FISHING

Cast off on a fishing excursion from the nearby Oak Bay Marina or Downtown Victoria and experience the thrill of fishing. The waters off the coast of Oak Bay are home to some of the best salmon and halibut fishing (and crabbing) on southern Vancouver Island. Arranged for you at your convenience, fishing charters range from 5 to 8 hours for four people and include state-of-the-art boats, gear and rods.
