Entry requirements

  • Your passport must be valid for 6 months from your date of entry into India and must contain two blank pages for use by immigration officials.
  • A visa is required to enter the country. Issued by the embassy or online E-Visa application one month before arrival in the country. Check with the Indian Embassy for further details: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html
  • Due to the customs clearance rule of the government of India, if your flight calls at another city in India before arriving in Delhi, confirm at the departure desk in Canada whether you should pick up your suitcase and pass customs control at the airport where the connection is made. Remember that if the flight stops in Mumbai you will need to pick up your luggage. Keep in mind that normally this whole process takes approximately 60 minutes.

Important Notes

  • Tipping is not mandatory, but it is a common practice in the tourism industry. We recommend leaving tips of approximately 12 to 15 CAD per day for tour guides, and 8 to 11 CAD per day for drivers. Additionally, we suggest leaving a tip of 0.75 CAD per suitcase for hotel staff to show your appreciation for their service.
  • Itinerary might be changed as follows:
    • Monday/ Friday departure: 2 nights in Delhi at the beginning, 1 night in Delhi at the end.
    • Tuesday/ Saturday departure: 1 night in Delhi at the beginning, 2 nights in Delhi at the end.

  • This is a fast-paced itinerary that includes a comprehensive number of sights and activities in order to give you the most complete experience of the State of Rajasthan in India! You can expect several early morning departures and many driving miles during some days.
  • Some hotels may offer only vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. This is a common practice in certain establishments and is part of the local culinary experience they provide. If you have any special dietary preferences, we recommend informing the hotel staff in advance so they can accommodate your needs accordingly.
  • While on the road, it is highly unlikely that the vehicle will be equipped with wifi or bathroom facilities, though rest stops will be made for long trips. We recommend purchasing a new SIM card at the airport or placing an e-SIM before travel to guarantee internet connection.
