The Trafalgar Difference
Authentc Accommodation: Cenacolo in Assisi was an old Franciscan convent built for pilgrims visiting Assisi, sensitively restored, the stone walls hold slick modern decor; and Grande Albergo Aussonia & Hungaria is a prestigious icon in Venice and has original period furnishings.
Be My Guest: Visit an ‘Agriturismo’ farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany for a delicious Italian meal. After a warm welcome by the family, walk through the olive groves and lemon trees and taste some of the locally produced wines and olive oils.
Cultural Insights: As Trafalgar are official partners with the Vatican Museum, enjoy early access to the Sistine Chapel to admire the frescoed ceilings by Michelangelo before access is given to other travel groups and the general public. Visit an inlaid wood factory in Sorrento. Visit Giudecca Island for an insider look at Venetian Arts. See glass-blowing artisans and other craftsmen in action.
Local Specialists: in Rome, Pompeii, Capri, Assisi and Florence.
