Today, embark on a day tour of Kilkenny and Wicklow from Dublin. Admire the stunning scenery, flora and fauna as you travel through the countryside. Enjoy a 45-minute guided walking tour of Kilkenny City. Stroll through the narrow and winding cobbled streets and under the city’s many medieval arches as you explore all the main attractions. After free time for lunch, continue through the county of Carlow into the wild and rugged Wicklow Mountains.
Day 5: Dublin – Galway (B)
After breakfast, make your way to the railway station to catch a train to Galway. Upon arrival, head towards the hotel to check in. Galway, on Ireland’s west coast, is nestled where the River Corrib meets the Atlantic Ocean. (Approx 220 km)
Day 6: County Galway: Connemara Excursion (B)
Head out to Connemara on full-day tour. See the stark beauty of the hidden valley of Connemara as you enter on the Lough Nafooey route. Continue to Kylemore Abbey, where you’ll break for lunch and sightseeing. If you like, visit the lovely Kylemore Abbey and Victorian Walled Garden ($). In the late afternoon, depart Kylemore and journey through Inagh Valley, Maam Cross and Oughterard. Complete the circuit of Lough Corrib on your way back to Galway. Enjoy the magical views of the Irish countryside as your guide regales you with tales of Irish legends! (Approx 162 km)
Day 7: Galway: Burren and Cliffs of Moher Sightseeing (B)
Burren and Cliffs of Moher: Enjoy a full day with a stop at the Dunguaire Castle and the Pounabrone Dolmen. Visit the Cliffs of Moher before ending your day with a stop at a traditional Irish pub for a meal ($ at own expense)
Day 8: Galway at leisure (B)
Enjoy a day of leisure in Galway.
Day 9: Galway – Dublin (B)
Enjoy breakfast in Galway, then make your way to the train station for your return to Dublin. Check into your hotel and spend the day taking advantage of the city’s activities. (Approx 220 km)
Day 10: Dublin – Return to Canada (B)
After breakfast, take a private transfer to the airport and board your flight home.
