Day 1: Canada – Night on board
Ready to discover the spectacular cities and landscapes of Portugal? Arrive at your departure airport, ready to catch your flight. Night on board.
*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.
Day 2: Lisbon
Touch down in Lisbon, Portugal’s vibrant capital. Perched along the Tagus River, this coastal city boasts stunning vistas from its hilltop viewpoints, showcasing a blend of ancient architecture and modern vibrancy.
Transfer to the hotel* and depending on your arrival time, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Why not explore the oldest parts of the city, or enjoy views of the river from one of the many riverside cafes. Overnight stay in Lisbon.
Day 3: Lisbon (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, be ready to enjoy a fascinating tour of Lisbon and gain an insightful overview of this incredible city. Begin at the Church of the Jerónimos Monastery, home to the tomb of Vasco de Gama and the famous poet Camões.
Admire Belém Tower and the Monument of the Discoveries. The tour continues through one of the oldest areas of the city, the Alfama neighborhood, perched on the hillside boasting spectacular views across Lisbon. Finally, enjoy free time to continue exploring on our own.
In the afternoon, why not enjoy our optional Sintra tour* with a visit to Pena Palace. Overnight stay in Lisbon.

Day 4: Lisbon – Seville – Spain (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Tavira this morning, located in the Algarve region. This picturesque town is renowned for its historic charm, idyllic beaches, and cultural treasures. Tavira exudes a timeless elegance with whitewashed buildings adorned with colorful tiles.
Upon arrival, head to the city center for a leisurely break in a charming coastal atmosphere. Enjoy time at leisure to explore and soak in the beauty of this lovely city. Afterwards, continue your journey to Seville, a drive of about 2 hours.
Arrive at your hotel in Seville, where you’ll check in and have the evening to relax and settle in. Renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture, begin discovering the enchanting blend of Andalusian charm and modern vitality at your own pace. Overnight stay in Seville.
Day 5: Seville (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a city tour of the heart of Seville. Walk through its narrow and bustling streets, pass by iconic landmarks such as the Barrio de Santa Cruz and La Giralda, before reaching the majestic Cathedral for a visit to its beautiful Gothic monument.
Afterward, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon discovering Seville at your own pace. To get the most out of your trip, we recommend an optional tapas dinner with Flamenco show*. Overnight stay in Seville.
*Optional Sevillanas night (dinner & show): Immerse yourself in the traditional Spanish dance of Sevillanas, filled with passion and rhythm, while enjoying a delicious array of authentic tapas. Indulge in the flavors of Andalusia as you savor local delicacies, all amidst the lively atmosphere of Seville’s cultural scene.
Day 6: Seville – Cordoba – Granada (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Córdoba today, just an hour’s journey away. Once you arrive, delve into history as you explore the captivating old mosque-Cathedral (entrance included), an iconic symbol of Spain’s rich heritage.
Wander through the famous streets of the old market and Jewish quarter, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of this historic area.
After the tour, head to Granada to check in to your hotel. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, enjoy the vibrant Moorish heritage, and enchanting labyrinthine streets, offering a fusion of history, culture, and natural beauty. Overnight stay in Granada.
Day 7: Granada – Madrid (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, explore the renowned Alhambra, a testament to the profound Muslim influence in the Iberian Peninsula. Marvel at the architectural wonders and intricate decorations of this cultural jewel as you visit the Palacio Nazaríes, La Alcazaba fortress, and the serene gardens that envelop it.
After the tour, journey towards Madrid, a scenic drive of approximately 5 hours. Arrive at your hotel in the early evening with time to start discovering its dynamic streets, and lively culinary scene. Check in and unwind after a day filled with cultural discoveries. Overnight stay in Madrid.
Important note: To visit the Alhambra, it is mandatory to send copies of all passengers’ valid passports to [email protected] once you have made your reservation, as these details are necessary to purchase a ticket on your behalf. Please note that there are a limited number of tickets available each day and that the Alhambra is a large complex with multiple parts.
Day 8: Madrid (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, embark on a city tour of Madrid. Begin near the majestic Royal Palace, a symbol of Spanish monarchy, then head on a walking exploration, where you’ll delve into the grandeur of the Cathedral of Madrid.
Continue strolling through the vibrant streets, passing by the bustling Mercado de San Miguel and the iconic Plaza del Sol, nestled close to the bustling Gran Vía. Conclude the tour at the charming Plaza Mayor, before returning to your hotel.
Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure, exploring the delights of Madrid. We recommend one of our optional activities: either an afternoon tour to Toledo*, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or an exciting dinner and Flamenco Show** to delight your senses. Overnight stay in Madrid.
*Optional tour to Toledo: known as the “City of Three Cultures”, explore its historic center’s winding streets, and marvel at its iconic landmarks, including the magnificent Toledo Cathedral and the ancient Alcázar fortress.
**Optional dinner with Flamenco show: experience the heart and soul of Spain, with a feast of traditional Spanish cuisine while being mesmerized by the passionate rhythms and movements of flamenco dancers. Immerse yourself in the captivating atmosphere of Madrid’s flamenco scene!
Please note: choose only one of the two optionals, as both of these overlap so it’s not possible to do both.
Day 9: Madrid – Canada (B)
Breakfast* at the hotel. Sadly, it’s time to wrap up your trip through Portugal and Spain. Transfer to the airport at the indicated time, to catch your flight back to Canada.
*Depending on the return flight schedule and the hotel breakfast service, you may not be able to enjoy the included breakfast on the last day.

- Portugal requires that all foreigners have a minimum term of validity left on their passport or visa, depending on their nationality. Please check your official state department/foreign office website for more information.
Important Information:
- Hotel rooms in Portugal are usually equipped with one double bed. If you require twin beds, please let us know at the time of booking and we will try our best to accommodate your request, although it cannot always be guaranteed.
- Hotel ratings in Portugal and Spain are not governed by the same standards as those in Canada, so please keep this in mind when selecting your desired accommodation category.
- Check-in and check-out times are set as a matter of internal policy at each hotel. As a general rule, check-in begins at 3PM and the check-out time is at noon. Please note that these hours may vary per the rules of an individual hotel.
- It is mandatory to send a copy of the valid passports of all passengers to [email protected] at the moment you make your reservation. Otherwise your entry to the Alhambra in Granada cannot be guaranteed.
- In the event of closures or special events, the order of the itinerary may change. In this case, all tours and excursions mentioned in the itinerary will go ahead, but possibly in a different order.
