Day 1 – Hometown / Tokyo Narita (via Shanghai)
Depart Canada and fly to Tokyo via Shanghai. Start your worry-free vacation with the guidance of our Canadian Tour Leader. Note: Since the Vancouver to Shanghai flight leaves at 00:30 you will need to arrive at Vancouver International Airport the night before, so you don’t miss your flight!
Day 2 – Arrive Tokyo
Cross the International Date Line and arrive in Tokyo. Tokyo is a city forever reaching into the future. There are excellent museums here, along with everything else you could ask of Japan – grand temples, atmospheric shrines, fascinating contemporary architecture, elegant gardens and hot springs. Upon your arrival at Narita International Airport, you will be greeted by your local guide who will then transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at your leisure.

Day 3 – Tokyo (B/L/D)
We will start the tour with a visit to Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine) which is the most important and popular Shinto shrine in Tokyo dedicated to the Emperor Meiji and his wife. Then we will visit Asakusa Kannon Temple (Sensoji Temple) and Ueno Park. Then we will explore the Nakamise Market and lastly, visit Odaiba – a large artificial island located in Tokyo Bay – a popular shopping and sightseeing destination for Tokyoites and tourists alike.
Day 4 – Tokyo (B/L)
After breakfast, you will be treated with the skyline view of Tokyo at Tokyo Skytree Observation Deck. Next, we will drive-by the Imperial Palace, home to the Emperor of Japan (the palace itself is not open to tourists). We will also see Nijubashi Bridge (which means the “Double Bridge”), one of the most well-known bridges in Japan. Lastly, we will visit Ginza Shopping District.
Day 5 – Tokyo ~ Hakone (Kanagawa Prefecture) ~ Mt. Fuji (B/L/D)
Today we are leaving Tokyo and moving to Hakone, a 1.5 hour drive. We will take a very calming, 30 minute cruise on Lake Ashi in a pirate boat. If the weather is clear, you might be able to take a glimpse of Mt. Fuji during the cruise. After the cruise, we will visit the most popular outlet mall, Gotemba Premium Outlets. Then you will be taken to your hotel in Mt. Fuji (1.25-hour drive) where you can experience traditional Japanese hot spring (onsen).

Day 6 – Mt. Fuji ~ Nagoya (B/L/D)
We will start the tour by going to a small village in the Fuji Five Lake region, Oshino Hakkai. Next stop is Lake Kawaguchi, it is the second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of surface area, and is located at the lowest elevation. Then we will travel to Mt. Fuji 5th Station (depending on weather conditions), the most accessible and popular way to gaze upon Japan’s iconic mountain. Then we will drive for 4 hours to Nagoya and then rest to your hotel.

Day 7 – Nagoya ~ Kyoto (B/L/D)
We will start our tour with Nagoya Castle, built in the beginning of the Edo Period. Next, we will visit Atsuta Shrine – it enshrines the Sun Goddess Amaterasu and stores the sacred sword Kusanagi, which is one of the three imperial regalia. Proceed to visit Osu Kannon Temple/ Shopping Arcade, a network of covered shopping streets with over 400 shops and restaurants. Then we will drive for 2 hours to Kyoto and visit the district of Gion and try to catch a glimpse of geikos (Kyoto dialect for geisha) or maikos (geiko apprentices) at Hanami-koji Street.

Day 8 – Kyoto ~ Osaka (B/L/D)
Today we will explore Kyoto’s cultural heritage starting with Kiyomizu-dera, a Buddhist temple in eastern Kyoto which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you will be treated to a Japanese tradition – the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It is a ceremonial way of preparing and drinking green tea typically in a traditional tearoom with tatami floor. Next, we will then proceed to Heian Shrine and Fushimi Inari Shrine. After a 1 hour drive, you will be transferred to your hotel in Osaka.

Day 9 – Osaka ~ Nara ~ Osaka (B/L/SD)
Nara is 1 hour drive away from Osaka. Today we will visit Todai-ji Temple, the largest wooden building in Japan. Nearby, explore the surrounding Nara Deer Park, filled with over 1,000 Sika Deer roaming around free. And then visit Nara’s most celebrated shrine – Kasuga Taisha Shrine. All of these are part of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our final stop of the day will be in Osaka. We will spend some time in Dotonbori and Shinasaibashi, one of Osaka’s oldest shopping destinations. To mark the end of a wonderful, cultural trip in Japan, we will have a Special Farewell Dinner in Osaka.
Day 10 – Osaka / Hometown (B)
Take an afternoon flight from Osaka to Vancouver connecting in Shanghai. You will arrive in Vancouver the same day and if you have a connecting flight, you will continue on from there.

After breakfast, transfer to Osaka Airport, take the Hong Kong Express Airlines flight fly to Hong Kong departing at 08:00 arriving into Hong Kong at 11:50. Upon arrival in Hong Kong, after immigration and customs, please report yourselves to counter “B18” in the arrivals hall. The counter staff have the booking record and will arrange the sit-in-coach transfer that will take you to your hotel. You are free the rest of the day to explore the city.

Dec 3: Hong Kong (Half Day Tour) (B)
After breakfast, you will be picked up in the ground floor lobby of the hotel at 08:10AM for a half day Hong Kong City Tour. Visit to Victoria Peak, where you can have a panoramic view of both Hong Kong and Kowloon. Also, you will visit Aberdeen Fishing Village, Repulse Bay and Stanley Market. In the afternoon you can explore and discover on your own.
Dec 4: Hong Kong (Free Day or Optional Tour to Macau) (B)
A free day for you to arrange your own activities, go souvenir shopping, or explore Hong Kong. OR an Optional Tour to Macau ( C$180 per person including lunch ). Enjoy panoramic views of South China Sea using the Longest Sea Bridge in the world connecting Hong Kong to Macau. Visit world heritage sites like St Paul Cathedral , Old City Wall , A Ma Temple reminiscent of Macau’s glorious past. Photo stop Macau Tower and local casino.One way you will journey by ferry and one way by bus on the sea bridge.
Dec 5: Hong Kong to Canada (B)
Meet in the hotel lobby (Ground Floor) at 12:15 PM and transfer to Hong Kong International Airport for your flight to Canada. You will arrive in Vancouver on the same day.

Museum and Jogyesa Temple. After lunch, we will head to Changdeok Palace and walk along Insadong Antique
Dec 4: Seoul (B)
You will be picked up by a tour guide in your hotel and will join a group tour. In the morning, we will visit a special
place in Korea. DMZ Area is the only place that you can see the reality of divided nation in the world. Our itinerary
includes the Third Tunnel Experience, Unification Bridge, Dora observatory where you can catch a glimpse of North Korea, the War History Pavilion, and Imjingak Park. Going back to Seoul, you will be dropped off at City Hall or Itaewon.
Dec 5: Seoul – Shanghai – Canada (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to depart for Canada via Shanghai, and arrive home on the same day.
